Terms
Terms of Service
The rules for using MakerHub memberships, public pages, the web account centre, the mobile app, events, community features, resources, and related services.
Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MakerHub YYC, operated by The Maker Hub YYC Inc.. They apply to our public web pages, member account centre, mobile app, membership subscriptions, events, community features, resource library, communications, and any related services we provide.
By using MakerHub, creating or using a member account, purchasing or renewing a membership, joining an event, posting in the community, or downloading a resource, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MakerHub.
Eligibility and Account Access
You must be at least the age of majority where you live, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to purchase a membership or use member features. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your sign-in email and account access secure.
MakerHub may use email codes, membership checks, and account status checks before allowing access. We may refuse, suspend, or close access where information is inaccurate, payment status does not support access, account use creates risk, or these Terms are not followed.
Memberships, Billing, and Access
MakerHub is a membership platform for makers. Active members receive access to the v1 member experience, including community, events, resources, profile tools, and accountability features. Some benefits may depend on platform availability, event capacity, account status, device support, and member conduct.
Memberships may be purchased through the web or through supported in-app purchase options. Prices, taxes, renewal timing, discounts, trial periods, and included benefits are shown at checkout or in the applicable purchase flow. You agree to pay the charges you approve, including applicable taxes.
If a membership payment fails, is refunded, is cancelled, or otherwise no longer supports active access, member content access may be paused or ended. Access usually remains available through the paid period when a subscription is scheduled to cancel at period end.
Cancellations and Refunds
Membership cancellations, refunds, billing errors, event RSVP changes, and physical product returns are handled under our Cancellation Policy. Except where the Cancellation Policy or applicable law says otherwise, membership fees are not refundable and partial billing periods are not prorated.
Community Conduct
MakerHub exists for a practical, supportive maker community. You agree to participate lawfully, respectfully, and in good faith.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, exploit, or mislead other members.
- Do not post spam, scams, malware, deceptive links, illegal content, or content that violates another person's rights.
- Do not share another person's private information without permission.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant MakerHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, store, moderate, adapt for display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote MakerHub. You can remove or update some content through available features, but backups, audit records, legal records, and community integrity records may remain where needed.
We may remove, hide, restrict, or preserve content when needed for safety, moderation, operations, legal compliance, account integrity, or enforcement of these Terms.
Events and Resources
Event details, hosts, capacity, waitlists, locations, join details, and schedules can change. We may cancel, reschedule, restrict, or modify events when needed. Join details may be available only to registered members.
Resources, templates, videos, examples, and legal or business materials are provided for general information and member education. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for deciding whether a resource fits your business and for getting professional advice where appropriate.

If MakerHub sells merchandise, materials, printed resources, or other physical items, product descriptions, availability, taxes, shipping fees, and delivery estimates will be shown in the applicable purchase flow. Physical product returns and delivery issues are handled under our Cancellation Policy.
Intellectual Property
MakerHub names, logos, design, software, text, images, templates, videos, resources, and other materials are owned by MakerHub or licensed to us. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use MakerHub and member resources for your own lawful personal or business use as a member.

Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
Availability and Changes
We may change, pause, remove, or add features, content, membership benefits, events, and resources. We work to keep MakerHub available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent access to every feature or item.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of MakerHub after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimers and Liability
MakerHub is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that member outcomes, sales, business results, event availability, resource usefulness, or platform access will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakerHub and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
